After a year away from our physical theatre homes, I have come to realize that art is constantly adapting to its audience, and we as artists need to drive the adaptation. I believe that now, more than ever, theatre makers have an obligation to use their voices to provoke dialogues that challenge traditional ideas and beliefs. Over the past year, I have come to prioritize process over product. How we make our art, is just as important as the way it's received. As we reopen, I believe in  prioritizing theatre that is accessible to all types of creators and audiences, creating and inspiring empathy and equity. Rather than mourning the field we "lost", I am excited to be an active participant in the resurgence of a better one.
